Description

This one day event will explore key evidence, practice and implementation issues facing alcohol brief intervention. In England, Identification and Brief Advice (IBA) has been central to national and local alcohol strategy, as Scotland and Wales have also prioritised delivery, with differing approaches. A range of key speakers and workshops will address important issues for considering 'where next' for brief intervention.

Who can attend & costs

This event is free for eligible NHS, Local Government, academic and selected provider roles* with a remit around promoting or supporting IBA implementation. The cost is covered for eligible roles courtesy of Alcohol Research UK's support to the Alcohol Academy.

Places are limited so if you are unable to attend it is crucial you unregister at the earliest opportunity. Non-attendance without at least 2 working days notice may be subject to a cost recovery charge or £45.

*A maximum of two people per provider/voluntary sector organisation unless authorised.
